About event

A relaxed day of trad climbing, community vibes and classic dolerite just out of Perth.

Join us for a laid-back day of climbing at Churchman's Brook, one of Perth’s most popular and accessible trad climbing areas, located just outside Armadale.

This peer-based, self-sufficient day trip is all about getting out on the rock, sharing local knowledge, and climbing with fellow CAWA members. Churchman's Brook offers a wide selection of routes ranging from grade 10 to 24, predominantly trad climbing, with a small number of sport routes. Whether it’s your first visit or you’re a regular at the crag, you’ll find plenty to climb and great people to climb with.

Evan leading Bodgy Dolts (** 21)

The day will run from 8:30 am to approximately 5:30 pm. CAWA members will be on hand to help introduce people to the crag, suggest routes, and assist with finding climbing partners. No instruction, guiding, or training is provided, and all participants must be competent and comfortable climbing independently.

Helmets are mandatory for all climbers while at the crag, in line with CAWA safety requirements. Participants must be fully self-sufficient, bring appropriate gear, and take responsibility for their own safety.

This trip is capped at 12 participants to keep things relaxed and manageable.
